Skechers {Scholars Ivy}

A “Free Shoe Archive” is not a likely spin-off unless I start getting more shoes that meet my specifications. Indeed, only once has an all black, low-top, slip-on, and slip-resistant workhorses been donated to me. At the time of donation, this shoe was sold under the Skechers ⇒ brand name and the Scholars Ivy model. Subsequently, the model name was changed to Work Scholars Ivy ⇒ with no known changes to other specifications. All but one pair of the shoes that I have owned since the original donation have been of this model.
Before anyone accuses me of endorsement, let me clarify that these shoes are good for me. I probably do not need to point out to my sighted readers that these shoes are not aesthetically novel nor exciting. Only those with the experience of wearing the shoe know the slightly heavier than normal weight.
The donated pair seen in the pictures is no longer in my possession. I tend to wear footwear into the ground through everyday usage. The original pair were ultimately defeated after dealing with an overflowing toilet.
The donation of these shoes was made by another man in a college Spanish class on Valentine’s Day.
Donor Aaron* starting asking me about my background. Later on, he flat out asks me if I would like some shoes and socks. I tell him that I would not accept either. Come February 14th he arrives with a shoebox and some socks. Faced with the material I take the shoes but refuse the socks.
I know that many suspect that I was being hit on. Being there in context, I think that Aaron was more about being insultingly parochial. His mistake was to misinterpret thrift for destitution.
My behavior after receiving these shoes was undoubtedly to his chagrin. I waited until a few months or so when I was written a formal letter from a boss to wear these shoes a few months. Furthermore, I dropped that Spanish class. Though this situation was admittedly odd, the main impetus for dropping the class was that I was not doing well in that class because I was way more interested in my other classes.
