Streetscape was a street cleanup project that involved people from the community cleaning up streets that I don't recall the names of. Some residents got mad over the volunteer efforts of other people. As Donor Dan pointed out, those who wanted privacy on public property shoud have kept up the maintainence. People yelling at volunteers, to me, is boggling. At least they care enough to help.
I was sick with a weak flu the week of the Streetscape that this particular shirt was earned. I put in some awesome performances at work despite not feeling good, but decided against volunteering to make myself more sick. Instead, Donor Adam went on a Saturday to help clean a neighborhood in Downtown Youngstown. The next Monday he came back to give me this shirt and, naturally, to resume his normal job.
I was shocked Donor Adam gave the shirt to me. I did not realize how well-known the free shirt archive had gotten. People that I didn't know knew about what I had done online.
Perhaps I was a little too secretive about the existence of the free shirt archive back in that day. I knew Donor Adam for a few years at that point, but I was very reluctant to tell many people about what I was doing online. I regret not being more forthcoming about the free shirt archive with Donor Adam. I should have been the one that told him.
Still, I don't mind. A free shirt is not worth more then self-imposed privacy, but a friend surely is.
Donor and Proofreader Adam has since done some proofreading of some of the write-ups on the free shirt archive. This provided service will not be forgotten and is still greatly appreciated.
I'm sure most people see a lot of typos that I make, but never fix. This is more a testament to the way I do these write-ups. I just sit down and start writing until I stop. If I actually proofread, then the write-ups would only technically be better. They would not have the same charm that the very moment has. In the moment is how I wear the shirts.
I did end up having to work a later Streetscape. There was no opportunity of getting a free t-shirt out of my work that day. Which is O.K. because that would have been work, and work is a form of payment. Payment is not free.
