Ohio State Qualifying Tournament {2002 Staff}

Donor Eli* informed me that he had no idea as to which specific Ohio State Qualifying Tournament that the shirt he gave me refers. Neither he nor I participated as either competitor or staff. Therefore, I also do not know the particular meaning of this shirt.
The tournament could be about anything with a name so generic. My best guess is that the tournament was athletic in nature. Sports plays an exaggerated role in American society which makes funding for staff shirts easier. A statewide tournament also implies competition.
Likewise, I am not sure if
The Ohio State University {Buckeyes & Wexner Center For The Arts}{
} had any involvement with whatever happened in 2002. Until and unless I find any proof that this shirt was involved with that educational institution I will separately catalog this shirt.
One might wonder how there could be a set location for a shirt of such mystery. The only sure thing about this shirt is the State of Ohio ⇒. The seat of state government is at the Ohio Statehouse ⇒ in Columbus. It is likely that either the participants or their parents theoretically expressed their will through their elected officials to have a qualifying tournament receive funding.

Proofreader Adam* wrote about something that I agree with about the thrill of the unknown. Other shirts of unknown provenance within
Free Shirt Archive, however, reveal little about their sources.
An Ohio State Qualifying Tournament leaves little to the imagination. There is no doubt that there is some sort of competition that some Ohioans won and some lost. Of course, I still want to eventually find out the truth. I just know that it will probably not be that interesting.
